Zebra Swallowtails in good numbers

Pretty much everywhere I’ve been this spring Zebra Swallowtails have been in good supply. They look so fresh this time of year. This image was taken at Shannondale Springs WMA. Spring Azure, Eastern Tailed-Blue, Clouded Sulphur and Eastern Tiger Swallowtails were also present.

BTW, I’ve added an email subscription plugin to the blog. If it’s working properly all currently registered folks are on the email subscription plan which means whenever there is an update to the blog you will be notified. Some folks had requested this. If you do not wish to be notified please send me an email:  wvbirder@comcast.net

One Response to Zebra Swallowtails in good numbers

Paw paw, the host plant for the Zebra swallowtail, seems to be putting out a lot of flowers this spring. We must have had good numbers overwintering in WV.
