Juniper Hairstreak at Shannondale Springs

180 years ago Shannondale Springs was a world famous resort visited by Presidents and dignitaries. It was on Staffordshire transferware c.1830’s along with other notable locations around the country like Niagara Falls and the Catskill Mountain House, both in NY. Today it is a WMA with a variety of habitats. This late afternoon brought a lifer Juniper Hairstreak.

Others: Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, Black Swallowtail, Cabbage White, Clouded Sulphur, And Eastern Tailed-Blue.
