Barry Marts and I ventured back to Cranesville Swamp in WV and various Garrett County, MD locations in beautiful weather. Partly cloudy, a light breeze and highs in the upper 60’s to low 70’s. This is July right? Among the 29 species seen were Bog Coppers who were still on the wing at Cranesville Swamp. We found the sedge specialist Black Dash in West Virginia and Maryland. Other notables were Eastern Comma, Question Mark, (Great Spangled, Aphrodite, Atlantis, Meadow Fritillary), Appalachian Brown, Delaware Skipper and a couple of Monarchs.
